Oils, butters, and treatments for braids, twists, locs, and protective styles, formulated to moisturize without buildup, seal without stiffness, and maintain scalp health through the weeks your hair is tucked away. The biggest mistake in protective styling isn't the style itself, it's neglecting the scalp and hair beneath it for the entire install period.
Apply scalp oil every three to five days directly to the scalp through part lines. Batana Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, or growth serums keep the scalp nourished during the style. Mist a moisturizing spray every two to three days to prevent dryness, especially at exposed hair between braids, and use light edge butter or oil daily to keep baby hairs and edges moisturized without tension. Keep style life to a maximum of six to eight weeks, since styles held longer cause tangling, matting, and traction stress at the follicle.
Remove styles carefully and deep condition immediately after takedown.
